INFORMATION

The Foyle Food Group is seeking a Group Operations Technical Manager responsible for the management of all aspects of the Technical and Quality function within Foyle Food Group (FFG). Reporting to the Operations Director you will also be responsible for implementing any strategic projects as required by the Board. You will be the main point of contact for all internal and external lines of communication relating to technical and quality. Your main purpose is to ensure all sites meet their food safety, legal and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring FFG sites are adhering to the most up to date legislative, third party and customer requirements.

• Manage the Group Technical & Quality team to fulfil business needs from a technical & quality perspective.

• The main point of contact for all technical and quality-related matters, both internally and externally.

• Supporting Group sites to ensure internal and external audits maintain highest possible grade.

• Report performance against KPIs – both internal and external KPIs.

• Be an integral part of FFG senior management team, contribute to formulating and implementing Group strategy.

• Ensure FFG strategic requirements are implemented and adhered to.

• Ensure continuous improvement ethos is embedded into the technical and quality department.

• Liaise with necessary competent authorities as required in 3 jurisdictions – GB, NI and ROI.

• The role entails extensive travel throughout the Group and customer base

The successful candidate will:

 Be a dynamic and flexible person having developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
 Be a natural leader, analytical thinker, have resource-management skills and the ability work effectively under pressure.
 Have detailed understanding of critical success factors within this area of a fast-moving business.
 At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Technical role ideally within the red meat sector (Whilst this is not essential it will be highly desirable).

The Foyle Food Group is seeking a Finance Administrator to be based at our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site. This is a full-time role. The Finance Administrator role is a multi-functional role with the successful candidate cross trained to fulfil a number of roles:

• Purchase Ledger
• Cash Allocations
• Invoicing
• General administration duties

Essential Criteria:

• Working knowledge of Purchase Ledger operations
• Working knowledge of Cash Allocation systems
• Working knowledge of Invoicing

Hours of work – 40 hours between 0730 / 0915 > 1600 / 1745 – Monday to Friday

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester is seeking a Dispatch Operative to be based at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will be part of a busy dispatch team, supporting the day to day running of the Dispatch Department, contributing to ensuring that the appropriate documentation is completed and will also assist in ensuring that strict deadlines are met whilst complying with customer specifications, meat quality, hygiene standards and health and safety requirements.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience of using Counterbalance FLT, Reach FLT and Shunt vehicle – training to update these licences can be provided
• Ability to cope with manual handling tasks
• A good communicator who takes pride in their work and takes a team-orientated approach to working within a busy environment
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work within health and safety guidelines
• Flexible approach to working hours

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience of working in a dispatch environment
• Food hygiene qualification
• Willing to undergo Shunter training

Foyle Gloucester is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to be based at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland. The successful applicant will receive full training for this role.

This role comes with a shift pattern of Tuesday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00 and Saturday 07:00 – 16:00.

Duties to include (but not limited to):
• Ensuring orders are picked/palletised to customer requirements and dispatched within specified time frames
• Ensuring orders have the appropriate documentation ready for loading/dispatch
• Ensuring that stock is allocated to the correct locations within the fridges
• Undertaking the weekly stock check on a Saturday
• Supervision and motivation of direct and indirect reports
• Yard / lorry checks
• Working with the wider team to implement the company’s policies and goals, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience in a Supervisory/Team Leader role
• Experience of working in a despatch environment
• Demonstrate a high regard to safety issues
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines and targets in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Proactive approach and willingness to develop the role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• IT literate

Desirable Criteria:
• Food Hygiene qualification
• Health and Safety in the Workplace or IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience of working in the red meat industry
• Previous use of counterbalance and reach / shunter vehicle – current licences or willingness to undergo training

Foyle Gloucester is seeking a DAF Water Treatment Plant Operative to be based at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland. The successful applicant will receive full training for this role.

Duties to include (but not limited to):
• Manage and maintain the effective running of the DAF Water Treatment Plant operation in accordance with legislation, policy and standards
• Daily analysis of water
• Daily inspection, servicing and repairing of components of the DAF Water Treatment Plant including mechanical issues to ensure effective operations
• Upkeep of yards and ground perimeter
• Ensure that lorry wash area is kept clean and tidy
• Moving trailers and using weighbridge to ensure vehicle weights are adhered to
• Oversee drain cleaning
• When required assist with other maintenance issues

Essential Criteria:
• Willing to learn
• Be flexible and reliable in approach
• Be able to commit to the required hours of this role and potential overtime as and when the business requires

Desirable Criteria:
• Previous experience in wastewater treatment
• Proven ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Knowledge of DAF Water Treatment Plant Operations
• Previous experience of using Shunt Vehicle or willing to undergo training

Wages - UK National Living Wage + 50p per hour is paid as a base rate with additional skills premiums based on knowledge, ability and skills.

All offers of employment are dependent on successfully passing the Companies pre-employment medical, which includes a drugs and alcohol test.
